Sometimes, you may have heard that Eye Transplant. But in medical science has no way to transplant the whole eye at the time. Our eye is a very complex organ connected to our brain by Optic Nerve. The work of optic nerve to transmites the visual signals from eye to brain, where they interpreted as image. Optic nerve is relatively small and made up of more then one million tiny nerve fibers, much like a Fibre optic cable. Once these nerve fibers cut, they can not be reconnect. That is the reason, why the whole eye is not to transplanted. Even if the surgeon could implant the whole eye in the socket, the Eye still would not be able to transmit signals in to the brain through optic nerve. And thus would not provide the sight.
